Hey friends! I sat down tonight and made a contingency plan in case I or one of my 5 housemates gets Covid-19 right now. I've created a template you can use as a starting point in making yours - you'll need to adjust it significantly for your realities (click File > Make a copy to make your own customizable copy):

Would love any thoughts/improvements - please leave them as comments in the doc.

soliciting boardgame or tabletop RPG suggestions in expectation of extended social distance - anyone have any recommendations from the catalog at drivethrurpg.com/ ?

"If you're following along, you know that @solid/react comes with some useful components for displaying information stored in a Solid pod. With just a little more work, we'll see how easy it is to write data to your pod and get started publishing data to the Semantic Web."

Seeing what people earn (#OpenSalary) is nice and all, but I'd also like to see what non-monetary benefits people have negotiated/gotten that they like.

Some major points for me are:

🛀 three-day weekends
📲 working remotely (aka living where I'd like to live, aka no commute)
🌠 working on something I think is important

I'm quite sure I could earn more, even doing the same things, but given that I'd crossed a baseline pay, these things were my main focus when job hunting.

This new social media account is just one part of my push to divest from big social media in favor of decentralized web tech.

If you're interested in the whole picture, I've published a couple posts about perhaps the most exciting new decentralized web tech I know about, Solid:
